We often overlook the importance that children play in our lives. Yes, they are the next generation but they are the ones who continue to keep your name on this earth. God has said this is the blessing of the righteous - that their name would be remembered throughout the generations.
So often we try to ignore the little ones or put them aside "until they are old enough" - old enough for What? More and more we are encouraging our children to mature quicker and we think that is smart, yet all along Jesus says to us that unless we become like children, we will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Also He said that whoever humbles himself as a little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matt. 18: 3-4) The important part of this is the next verse (5) "And whoever receives one little child like this (ie taking them up in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them (Mark 10: 16) in My name receives me. (NB Matt 19: 13-15).
I am very aware that "Boys will be boys and girls will be girls" (Whatever that means) but they need our love and acceptance, to be valued and have a sense of belonging just as much as you and I do - if not more-so! They are in their formative years so give them a hug. Tell them God loves them and so do you. The last thing we want is for our children to suffer the hurts and rejections that many of us have suffered. Let us work to undo what the devil has tried to do. Show love to a child today and bless them in Jesus' name.

Bless you-all
Ray & Marie.

Thought for the Week

Don’t major on minor things.

Now a 2nd message for those closer to home.

Today is a most exciting day for the city of Maryborough. It surpasses Spring Festivals, Theatre Openings, Olympic Torches and any other occasion that encourages the people to come together to celebrate.
Something is about to happen in both the natural and spiritual that, I believe, will be the catalyst for change within this city. To the common observer the gathering of the churches to watch a video and pray and worship together would hardly be an earthshaking event. However, when hearts are as one and unity comes through relationship and not just because we "get together", the Spirit of God is free to bring the blessing of God upon this city as He has promised.
I understand that tonight would be a good time to spend with family, but let me encourage you to attend this combined churches event.
The pastors and ministers of this city see the awesome responsibility to stand in the gap for this city.
We are believing that after tonight many more will be committed to stand with us and pray for the manifest presence of God to be seen in the lives of men and women as we seek the face of God for this city.
TONIGHT AT THE BROLGA!!

See you there
Ray & Marie.
